Dry Bones

I was once like you

Towing the frenzied path called parties

Glad as I sucked the life out of life itself

Savoring its nutrients with ardent lust

Life was alluring. Just so comely

But now I see from the lens of eternity

Folding my arms and watching with a little envy

Wishing I could have a taste of your bliss

And hoping Ezekiel would again speak to my dry bones

But sorry for your mortal mind for...

You will one day be like me

God chaser
